RECA is responsible for vetting and licensing professionals in Alberta’s real estate industry, ensuring they meet the standards necessary to provide competent and ethical service to the public.

RECA ProCheck is a public tool that allows you to search for professionals licensed in Alberta to represent you in real estate, mortgage brokerage, property management, or condominium management.

What You Can Do with RECA ProCheck

- Confirm if an individual is currently licensed and in good standing.

- Verify they are licensed for the sector relevant to your needs (e.g., residential real estate, mortgage, commercial, etc.).

- Search by an individual’s name or a brokerage name.

You may search by Person or by Brokerage.

To search for an individual:

Enter their first and last name, then click Search.

- If the person is licensed, a profile will display their current licence status.

- If the status is “suspended” or “cancelled,” more details may be available on our Disciplinary Decisions page.

To search for a brokerage:

Enter the brokerage name (optional: city and industry), then click Search.

- If licensed, the brokerage profile and licensing details will appear.

Request an Official Licensing History

You may request an Official Licensing History Certificate under Section 80 of the Real Estate Act if required for a legal proceeding.
